Hm... Yes, thanks all for the inputs.
So I guess I will have to learn "some" software, and as it looks, it will be more than one. Pity, I figured by now there is a somewhat simple/easy/quick-to-learn package that allows for quick modeling, unfolding, coloring, and post-processing (like, adding glue tabs). Does anyone have experience with TinkerCad? Or Metasequoia? Are those any good? But I also agree that the "try it by hand first" approach has some merits, I want to consider myself somewhat adept at this but one can always learn. I'm just afraid to learn a software that is potentially discontinued (or sold to become for-profit), and I don't have the necessary monetary means to purchase a professional package. |

Even if that happened, nothing would keep you from using the last version that worked for you, so there is really no point of being afraid.
