Unhappy Meta to pepa adding lines :(

Please can anyone help?
I have created a simple letter E in Meta and it seems to be perfectly ok.
However when I open it in Pepa it has lots of extra edges and faces all from one corner and I have no idea why.
I've read every post here and can't find anyone with the same problem so I've posted a screenshot of the same file in both programs.
Hope someone knows whats happened

Cheers in advance

Hi Skrellan,

Pepakura does not like T joints.
Ex.

Code:
----------

----+-----
    |
    |
You need to edit the flat face of your "E" to eliminate the T-joints:

Code:
---------
\ /
 \ /
  \ /
   \/
---+-----
   |

If you can do your "E" like the attached image, Pepakura will be able to unfold it without problems.

Welcome!

Also, if you see Pepakura complaining about "N-extra points, N-faces deleted", you can try doing a "join closed vertices" command with the threshold set at 0-0.01.

right ok got that working too thanks
The only other problem I can't seem to figure is I've drawn four separate items but moved them together so parts disappear inside others. Is there now a command that joins them together and deletes the hidden bits?

You can use the BOOLEAN operation to join separate objects into one. But that can be a bit messy, depending on how complex your objects are.

Try to move each separate item into its own object. (Select joined faces, then CTRL+X, then CTRL+V) This will create a new object.
Do the same for the other separate items.
Now bring up the BOOLEAN operation menu then perform a Union operation to merge the two separate objects into one new object.
Unfortunately, the boolean operation only works with two objects at a time. You'll have to perform this union operation multiple times if want to join more than two items.
