Need Suggestions

I need a good open source video editor, and a website building package.

My Nephew is to busy and I'm gonna do my own video and web stuff now.

Any suggestions?

As far as website builder goes, I have yet to find something that I can figure out.
I don't understand coding or CSS, so anything that requires that is no good for me.

I have used NetObjectsFusion for years, and its all I know, but it is old, and defunct.
Its still works for simple static sites like I have, but no good for building a proper ecommerce site.
(My store uses simple paypal buttons, and I use the paypal checkout).

I tried WordPress, but their idea of WYSIWYG is not my idea.
I am totally lost in their website builder.
Part of it is their weird way of separating the theme from the actual web page elements.
(To me, its all part of the same thing)
And then they have their own names for things that I don't understand, or am used to.
I don't find it intuitive.

Maybe if I were 40 years younger, I could adapt easier, but getting older means your brain is unwilling to learn new things.
I admit, that what seems difficult to me, is a lot simpler to others.

Anyway, Wordpress is available in any C-Panel, with any webhosting package.

.............
Free Video Editing:

I just started using clipchamp All your video needs in one place | Clipchamp

Its basically Windows new replacement for Movie Maker.
Its cloud based, but you don't have to upload everything.
I created a video using all free stuff there, didn't actually 'save' any of the content to the cloud,
but the video construction is saved by clipchamp
...so as long as you log in to your account, and have all the content or can restore it,
you can go back whenever you like and work/re-edit your videos.

Anyway, it too a few tries before I finally figured out where everything is, but it works well.
There a few free to use music tracks too, that era already licensed for youtube and such.
And all the effects and transitions are available.

I found there are some limits with the on screen text options, but theres lots of cool text effects.
I made this with it (using a shaky smartphone video, a few still photos, and clipchamp options:
Super Speedway Cribbage Game Demo Unbox - YouTube

Looks like I'll be researching that editor tonight.

Thanks so much for your response.

Adobe Premier is subscription/pay.

I think Surfduke is looking for something free (open source he asked for).

Da Vinci Resolve may be worth looking into.

It seems that Open Shot is one of the preferred software.

Take a look at The 9 Best Open-Source Video Editing Software of 2022 for some description.

I'm sorry, but I've no experience in this area.
