Ahhh...the Skymaster. Back in the days of that other place, I recall I started a thread which would have the entire community come together and pitch in to design this aircraft.

The thread didn't go far and the aircraft never got designed.

However, I do believe there is a market for it, and eCardmodels would be the perfect place to place it 8v)

By the way, I figure since you mentioned "a lot of detail" and an interior, that there will be no way of getting a 1/72 scale version out of you for us who like small models and don't like to pay for what would be fiddly-bits...correct assumption?

I'm debating using this as my first freelance non-FG model, to see if I can sell it myself. I just need to figure out how. I'm gonna add as much detail as I can, including as full an interior as I can manage.

Anybody think there'll be a demand for it?

That's a sweet model/plane. Build it, they will come. Build it big so you can have a nice interior. Too many small planes around.

Actually, I drew up this model for that thread, but got side tracked by other FG models.

Over on the FG board, I'm the anti-lepercan. If it can't be climbed into, I don't wanna build it.

Although I'm thinking of going the FG way and offering multiple scales.

Personally, I think any one who designs card models should design and offer multiple scales. 1:33 and 1:72 would be what I think good scales. 1:33 could be done sized for those with the desire to build fiddly-bits at 1:50 and 1:72 could be down sized for 1:100, 1:200, or up sized for 1:50.

You did make me happy when you said "multiple scales."

I generally do 2 sizes: 1:Huge, and 1:Half as huge.

Looks good so far Murphyaa! Why don't you start a design thread? Post questions here if you need but I would be interested in seeing a step by step of your design process. I think others would be as well and if you need some help we'll all be ready to assist if asked. Besides I think this might be a somewhat obscure thread. If you want to show people what you are doing then an appropriately titled thread would help.

Murphyaa I thin the aircraft is very interesting. I agree maybe the best place to offer the model could be the ecardmodels shop.

I have a question for you: How you design the FG style wings in Rhino? Because is easy to design the wing in 2 or 3 surfaces but I don't understand How to make a "FG" wing in Rhino.
