Zip File Maker for Free anywhere?
Hi,
I'm in need of a way to make Zip files. I've used bitzipper and winzip but they cost too much for what they do and how much I need to use them. Just used the evaluation period up on the winzip, 45-days and only 5 files, so it is hard to justify $40 to purchase. Anyone know of a good zip? Thanks for any help / links you can provide! Best regards, Mike Bauer |

Try 7-zip. It's free and works very well.
You can download it at: 7-Zip NOTE: By the way -- windows already has a native ZIP archive creator. From the file manager, select your files. Then right-click, and choose the "Send To->Compressed Folder" menu option. (Despite this, I prefer using 7zip.) Eric |

Wow! Thank you everyone 7-zip is already downloaded, but thinking to try the others as well.
Everytime I did a search on google the same ones kept showing up, and they all wanted too much money! Like the gizmo homepage says, "#1 freeware bookmarked page". Yep, bookmarked and will do some exploring as time permits. Thank you for the quick and very helpfull responses! Best regards, Mike Bauer
