Good choice Chris. I'm sure it'll come out great.

Atta boy Chris! Something big and bold. You should do an amazing job with this one as usual.

As far as I'm aware they don't ship to the UK, Chris. Besides, I've never used the stuff before so would prefer to stick with the regular cardstock I'm familiar with, at least for the time being. Hopefully it'll look stunning either way.

I tell a lie, they do ship this side of the pond. Expensive stuff though!

I've made a start and managed to assemble both wings:-

Looking good so far, although one thing I noticed is that the black stripe along the upper surface of both halves of the left wing (top in the photo) don't quite match up, although the lettering on the lower surface does . Not much I can do about that now.

I was able to get a bit more done today than I expected - the tailplane is now assembled and the fin/rudder is cut out:-

I had a bit of trouble with the centre section of the tailplane. Neither of the tailplanes themselves would fit into it properly, so I had to slit it open at the join and glue it on as best as I could. I ended up with a small gap at the rear, but this should be hidden inside the fuselage:-

Nicely done Chris.
The stabilizer looks very clean at the joins in the center.
How is the overall fit of the parts so far?

Thanks Joe, that was what I was concerned about but it turned out ok. Fit of parts has been pretty good so far, especially at the wing and tailplane tips which only needed a teensy trim to even the two sides up. I have since glued the fin/rudder and that was even better .

Red River paper company is based in Texas I believe. They make a silver metallic ink jet safe paper that is quite amazing. Here's a link to their silver paper
