FGMM Boeing Model 299

Well, I'm going to attempt the Boeing Model 299, a model I don't think I've ever seen built before apart from this one by the designer.

It will be my biggest and most complex Fiddlers Green model so far, I just hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew!

Fantastic!

You know, I was going to do either the 299 or the Ju-52 (civil version) myself. I went for the JU, and now your gonna do the 299, and we are both doing them "stock"!

Funny how things work out sometimes. I still plan on building the 299 sometime in the future, so this will be a great way to see how its done.

It looks great on my printouts too, doctormax. I considered the Ju-52 too Tim, amongst others, but instead plumped for this one in the end purely for the reason that no one else had built it before - plus of course it's kinda cool looking . I have high hopes that this will be a relatively problem free build (after all it was designed by John Dell) but wish me luck anyway!

That's a nice aircraft. I thought about doing it, too. Isn't it basically a B-17? Looks a lot like it.

Cool !!! I love prototypes and this one looks very interesting. Looking forward for your build.

I agree the only one I've seen build is the one in the FG page.

This would be another good Red River silver paper candidate. Would be a very stunning model as such.
