picture of the week/quarter???
I can't help but notice that the POTW has been up much longer than a week.
Any chance for a new one? |

There have certainly been a lot of notable completed builds over the past couple of months. Surely one of them is worthy. The difficulty for me would be picking only one.
I wish I had time to finish one myself. ~ Keep on building |

I hear you! If only there was a way to automate the potw...might remove the heartache of choosing.

I've noticed it to, it has been the picture of the month by now, I realy like the picture of the week , it is the "face" of the site and I always was excited
would they pick my build? |

The threads have a rating system that is under-utilized. I wonder if there is someway we could use that to determine the pic of the week/month et c. by popular acclaim.
The various pictures could also be pretty easily collected into a calender at the end of the year too

I've been playing with a carousel-type image display for the AMMS Brisbane (Australian Military Modeling Society) site I look after. The idea for the AMMS site is to display images from the last 6 or so builds reported in the gallery. Since I don't have to pick winners but just resize selected images to fit into the carousel it makes it simple to update.
The carousel is explained here with an example - Dynamic Drive DHTML Scripts- Carousel Slideshow. The carousel pauses on mouseover so individual images can be studied. Regards, Charlie |
