I really like your models PS, i am not Japanese, but my children are. Have you ever made the Mitsubishi F1 or Kawasaki T4? i have made the F1 but never i have made a Zero but my favorite is the Ki-61. I hope your aircraft carries ends up quit accurate as all your models that i have seen |

YuG...
I re-scaled my decks and I'm sorry to admit it turned out to be a very small area at that scale. BUT.... I think that I will do an entire deck at this scale after seeing your little master pieces........ those really do need something to sit on. So... maybe in the near future I'll have something for you to use. john |

MIG-23MLC, thank you for dropping a note
Hokkaido is one of popular place for Japanese business people to be transferred. I’ve been to there several times and found marine product is extremely nice for me who live in Tokyo and get used to have only frozen marine food:o I hope you enjoy life in Japan and, of course, paper modeling John, I really thank for your kindness having tried to re-scale the plan. Please don’t feel obligated….. Thanks again, |

YuG........ it would be an honor to do a deck and have you display those master pices on it!
Does anyone know the scale those plans B-Manic post the link to? I know the 1983 version of the Enterpise is a document bigger than 24 x 32 inches.... I'll do the math (if I have to) but if someone already knows the scale it would validate my calculations(and I need validation:o) john |

Are these sample decks designed by John?
At first glance, I was excited and couldn't wait to see what its like to put those planes on deck so quickly printed it and glued on the thick card board though I am not sure if the scale I reduced is correct |

Scaling
The scaling of the deck is 1/200th I have a 1/200th model of the helicopter marked which is slightly oversized at 110mm I blew up the picture of your chopper to fit in the marks provided (x2) and I reckon you built yours in 1/400th scale which makes them amazing. You need to scale the deck to 1/2 size.

Just in case you already read the above Yu I think you and I are about as good as each other at scaling
The easy answer is to buy one of Gremir's models which comes with a good rescaling program and use that to do your scaling for you. If you are happy with current scale of carrier planes peace should break out between you and the lady wife over the size of your carrier you can be generous and offer to do it half size. I the meantime I would check with Mike Kroll in case I am talking b*****ks again. |
