I have been getting this screen today when going to papermodelers.com

Is this a requirement now?

The site was loading extremely slow. We had the host do a reboot and they found alot
of IP's from Singapore pinging 4 or 5 times every second. So they limited them.
I get the same thing, and not sure when it will not be required.

OK, thanks. I had noticed the site was taking a very long time to load. It loads fast now.

As Ray said, we were getting a lot of traffic from Singapore that were hitting our site 4 or 5 times every second. As the there was no issues with the server as it was handling the load, albeit slower then we would like, the simplest solution was to put the server into an "Under Attack Mode". This solved the issue and the host will disable the mode later today. Thanks for asking.

Leaving aside the issue of excessive traffic, I think the reason of the "human confirmation" form depends on the fact that Cloudflare is the registrar of the forum's domain name: it's possible that they introduced the verification to avoid unwanted bots to crawl the pages.

I don't have to manually accept the confirmation, because I use Firefox with the addon "I don't care about cookies" (available for the major browsers): I just see the confirmation form, automatically redirecting to the wanted page after a second or so.

Not 100 Accurate. We actually subscribe to the Cloudflare service as we have had Denial-of-Service (DoS) attack in the past. They are not our registrar as that is actually GoDaddy now as they bought out the company I had been using for years.

I talked with the host this morning and when they tried to disable the service, the traffic spiked again yesterday so they re-enabled it. Here is the graph they sent me of the traffic.

While we might see the traffic coming from Singapore, more then likely they are using a VPN so that we don't actually see their real IP. Singapore is probably the last bounce before they hit the website.
