Star III submersible

I'm a "boat guy" but I thought that this would be a fun little model to design, if I'm not mistaken, this was the sub that first searched the seabed for a downed B-52 carrying a payload of nuclear weapons, the beginning of the "Broken Arrow" weapons recovery program.


I would also suggest that the copyright to this particular model may be of value to that specific museum. (just say'n)

I like it. Especially the picture of the ginormous sonar dish mounted to the bow. Someone was looking for something smaller than a breadbox, more than several miles away. Sort of fits with the story you found, doesn't it?

I’ll be watching this closely. I love submersibles and there’s definitely not enough of them available in paper model form.
