Timer setting?

Not sure how to best describe this. Is there a timer setting in vBulletin that sets the timeout for reading new posts? For example, I click on New Posts and get the pages of new posts since my last visit. Sometimes, when I click on page 2 or 3, the timer has expired and I don't get to see all the new posts. I wonder if the length of time to view the new posts can be increased? I visit another board running vBulletin and I don't seem to ever hit the time limit. Thanks.

Yea I tend to run into this too. Don't see an option in the User CP for this either.

i am not sure what the time is, but if you click on unread posts in the top right box where you would log in, you will actually see all the posts you thought you lost and couldn't read

Right, but in that search, you have two categories, new since your last visit, and not new, but still unread. After a certain time (maybe 20-30 mins), the messages that are new get lumped down in the other category. I've learned to work with the system, just putting it out there that I see it too.

Just a suggestion...

The way I get around this, is I open that "view unread posts since your last visit" in a new tab. Then, I open each post in a new tab that I want to read. Once read, I close the tab, and still have the original list until I've gone through all the pages. Then, I can close that tab, and be back at the forum front page.
