I would have suggested flashdrive at the library, too. My folks do not have internet, so I have to visit their library some times to get files for Mom.

Then they can take the flashdrive back to work and print it off there ... LOL

Dave, you may also want to try Google Drive....all you need is a gmail address. I would think that most work computers would allow Google gmail/drive which could be an alternative if the work computer doesn't allow Yandex or Onedrive from Microsoft.

To be honest with you, I don't plan on changing anything related to my Mediafire files.
The KoolWheelz models are easy to get to for most people.
And its working for me.
I'm sorry that someone can't get to a KoolWheelz download,
but I have had almost no complaints about Mediafire in five years.

You can't please everyone, and you can't accommodate everyone.

The topic of downloading files from work has been touched on many times before.
Thats why I asked.
I was just curious about how this problem might have been dealt with.

The best thing so far has been the reminder about using public computers.
I can't imagine not owning one, maybe thats why I didn't think of it.
But I guess there must be plenty of options to get online.

Flashdrive in the pocket...find an Internet Cafe...or a Library...and grab a Coffee.

Maybe thats another thread topic?...locations for free computer and internet.

I didn't even know the Opera browser still existed.

Good info.

That would be my alternative, use your phone, save to your home computer later on.

I would agree, except as I mentioned earlier he doesn't have a home computer.
So, he's stuck with a PDF on a phone.

I have a feeling he downloads at work...so he can print at work.
lol thats what I would do!

Some home printers do allow the use of memory cards and can print directly from them
...not sure if they can process PDF files though.

I'm sure a phone memory card can be used at a printshop, like Staples?

Another possibility here; put all the freebies on a disc and he pays the shipping/packaging costs.

Well, if I decide to offer the models on a disc,
it will be for everyone,
and it will be at a worthwhile cost to me.

Its not the method I want to promote.
And I put a lot of work into making the models available.
And available for free.

So, if I am the one doing the work to produce the models
AND the work to deliver them to you, its gonna cost.

...the time and effort to burn a disc,
make up a sleeve
make up the packaging,
the cost of the disc,
and the cost of packaging materials,
a trip to the Mall and back in the car,
and the actual postage costs to ship the package...

hmmm
