Albatros B.I wings and fuselage construction technique

Hello,
After posting my models in the Gallery (MS-L "Parasol", Caudronn G.III, Alb.B.I) I would like to answer the questions related to te technique of construction.
WINGS
Wings with visible structure consists of:
- structure (spare and ribs)
- first sheathing (tracing paper)
- final sheathing (silk)
Real canvas is imitated by silk coloured in the infusion of tea.
FUSELAGE
Real plywood or canvas is imitated by veneer or silk. Veneer is stained.
To paint my models I use ordinary acrylic paints only. Models are not varnished.
Paper fuselage is made of the original component and then covered with silk or veneer.
Photos are from a different models but the technique is the same.
Regards

Encore! Encore!

Finished appearance is proof of technique - and you've aced both categories. The combined texture of silk on tissue is absolutely one of the best take aways I've seen (an idea for airship envelopes is now developing).

Thanks for taking the time to bring us up to speed on a technique that will put new air under early aviation modeling.
