Paper Rolling Tool
I made a tool for making tight paper rolls.
It consists of two darning needles, mounted side by side in a cherry wood handle (set the needles in a hole filled with epoxy or Gorrila Glue). To use the tool, put the end of strip of paper in the space between the two needles, then rotate the handle and roll up the paper strip into a disk or cylender. I plan on making a second paper roller using smaller diameter carpet needles. For models which require thick disks, it is frequently easier and faster to roll a disk from a strip of paper, than it is to cut out a cardboard disk. |

Yup, only longer and sturdier with a nice hefty hardwood handle instead of a flimsy plastic one.

Very nice John. I never thought of using darning needles.

Very clever, only a true modeler would have come up with such gadget, you should patent it. |
