Experience with 1/32 scale accessories?

Out of curiosity, does anyone around here have experience, good or bad, with using 1/32 scale aircraft accessories for their 1/33 scale card models? I know the size difference between the two is very small, but some kits are designed to very close tolerances, so I suspect there are some aspects of a build that may be more amenable to the technique than others. I have seen at least one YouTube video where the builder used after-market navigation lights, but what about trickier bits like cockpit details and such?

Of course, adding after-market details does sort of negate the cost benefit of building in card.

when i build ship models in 1/400 scale some of the smaller detail parts blend in when i use 1/350 scale parts so 1/32 to 1/33 should be okay. the biggest caution would be with Halinski kits, they calculate down to paper thickness!

1/33 became a standard scale for card models but I would be wary of an exact scale.
In fact, I know that not all 1/33 scale models are really accurate.
(unlike plastic kits that seem to be more to accurate scale)

In my own case, I put 1/33 on my early kits because that was the thing to do.
I assumed that many of the models were in fact 1/33.
However I have since found that many of my kits are closer to 1/32.
I wish I had put 1/32 on them because 1/33 confuses the plastic modelers. lol

If you order an accessory (ie clear canopy) from the same manufacturer of a 1/33 card model, you can assume the fit is pretty accurate.

If you're attempting to use 1/32 scale parts from a plastic model, they may or may not fit your 1/33 scale card model (depending on how accurate the scale is to start with).

Confusion may increase if you know that GELI original scale is 100/3 - which is 33 1/3 - slightly smaller than 1:33. Nevertheless imho the difference will hardly be visible - 3 to 4 percent. For me it is fine if it looks good all accessories will look good because they ar rare
