Ah, but that's where having a private hobby shop for siting the desk comes in handy.
The expert just corrected me....the wife says it's eye shadow, not eye liner. She recommended the dollar store as a possible source....the cosmetics there are mainly from China so are reputed to have a high lead content, but for modeling use, that shouldn't be much of a concern.

And grab some fingernail sanding boards too. Flat foam-core sticks with waterproof (washable!) sandpaper in various grits. I get mine at the local beauty supply store (75% of the humans in the house have XX chromosomes so I often have to go along)

They have all kinds of neat stuff in "that" department, you'd be suprised at how many plastic car modelers using fingernail polish for custom paintjobs. And yes the dollar stores have the wildest, brightest selection of those also.
