Resizing images

I see a tutorial for resizing PDF's, but what about jpeg images?

I have a HP 3100 that I can change the settings, but when I open up the jpeg it prints the normal size.

There any free photo editing software where I can resize jpegs?

Thanks

Most generic programs (microsoft Word or Powerpoint) will allow you to paste in pictures and resize them for the printed page. Not high tech but generally easy to do. Tough part is getting them the right size in relation to one another.

yes, sizing (scaling) can be tricky, but .jpegs can be sized (scaled) by your "page setup" while viewing in MS Paint. "fit to page" is rarely the best option...

UGH!!!!

Ok, so I cannot figure out how to resize a jpeg. I'm wondering if it's my printer OR the fact that it's a jpeg and NOT a pdf.

From what I'm reading it sounds like pdf's are much easier to manipulate resizing wise?

So, another question....can a jpeg be converted to a pdf? Or, do I buy a newer printer? (my HP has to be 4-5 yrs old at least).

Thanks!

PS: i'm so damn desperate to make my first mini Autoblinda 41! :p

I don't know if it's the case with every printer-program, but mine gives the opportunity to save as a PDF, when I choose 'print' from the main menu

I print the image out, manually cut and paste (to enlarge), add a scale ruler to the image, then I scan the image, sharpen and resize it (using the scale) in the scanner program before I save it...low tech, but it works!

@nebeltex : when I click print in MS Paint my printer won't print...at all. I'm going to try and "re-boot" my printer...like I said, it's old and I wouldn't be surprised if I needed a newer printer

I'll go home and try messing around with my printer again.

Appreciate all the advice folks! Thanks!
