With no cats in the house "contamination" wouldn't be an issue.

I was thinking that I should have named this thread "Flight of the Phoenix diorama". There have been times when using this sand box that it did look like a desert crash diorama.

Brilliant! Why didn't I think of that? (Please don't answer that question, I know...)

I have a shallow plastic storage bin with its own lid, which will prevent any misunderstandings with my feline housemates. I have long been in the habit of not leaving anything fragile out overnight anyhow.

Now I know why your models always look so square and true.

What an astoundingly clever idea! A multi-positionable universal jig.... although as there are two indoor cats in this household, it might be better for me to avoid leaving such a thing lying around :-D
