What scale is it?

That is a very clever idea. You can see how making tapered ratlines could be accomplished.

Love it; simple and ingenious!

I see that you're actually making a pair of nets or rigging in your pics, correct? One on top of the other, separated by the width of the combs. What adhesive are you using for the netting and for adhering the combs to each other?

All in all, really like it! The more open sides the combs would allow for heavier guage string, combination of gauges, you could only make 1 if needed, every other, 3rd, 4th tooth, great possibilities! -J

Larger combs or the second or third tooth story would do the ratlines nicely!

The more I think about the more I reckon this should have the brilliant idea of the decade award!!!!!
