This technique will work great on the planes that are published by Answer and CardPlane. I've avoided them because of all the ribs, but now I don't need to. Thanks.

Some WWII planes actually show the same effect, especially on the control surfaces. Lovely technique, thanks for sharing!

Great tip! I was trying to do this through embossing. This is much better looking. Thanks so much for the tutorial. Its always nice when someone is willing to share there knowledge.

Nice tutorial and a great way to increase the realism quotient. You brought out the memory of a project that produces a nearly identical effect.
