Cutting circular hole without center mark

Hello

I wonder how do you cut a circular hole in the model if there is no center marked on the paper? On some models the center mark is already there and I can cut it easily using my Olfa Circle Cutter.

I tried finding the center of the holes using a ruler and bisectors but I just end up doing it not precisely enough so the results are not good.

Any ideas? Thanks.

there are many tools for that task.

just google images for "circular center finder tool"

If the model is already built and the surface is not flat, these tools will not work. The surface must be flat prior to marking and cutting.

In addition to circle cutters, many of us just freehand cut the circle, in my case, i just go slow, turning the paper as i cut.

Mike, THANK YOU!

I have used this several times at work, but could not remember how/where I learned it.

Now I know!

Late offering per usual.
Amusing that finding the centre of a hole is not quite
the same as finding the centre of a circle.
Anyhows here's an offering.
10 to 60mm holes or circles with zig-zags to help identify the circle you're on.
p1 - print in colour. remove pale yellow areas.
p2 - print B&W but loose blue 10mm diameter indicators.
It's delicate in the middle.
Also finds centers.
