How to strengthen small parts?
I am building a 1/100 scale Boeing F4B-4. The cabana struts are tiny (of course). Cutting them out is a challenge, and the struts seem too weak to support the top wing. What is the best way to strengthen the struts? I'm thinking of thin CA...saturate the cardstock before cutting out the part. Has anyone tried this with success?

Thin parts like that I usually replace with bend welding wire painted with whiteout. Find steel wire of approximate size, bend it with pliers, assemble model and paint. Important part isck steel wire and scuff it with polishing cloth or kitchen scrubber so glue and paint adhere nicely.

If you use CA glue use the thin stuff and soak it after cutting it out
Paper and CA glue= Hardwood Been there done both ways Miles

The CA glue is a great option. However, it often times cures with to much shine for a
flat painted aircraft. In this case, you might spray it with a clear matte acrylic to dull it. Using the wire option, I have placed a thin wire between the folded strut parts to help reinforce them. Also for landing gear.
