I need tips for painting a project. Batman bust papercraft.

Hello!

I finished yesterday my batman bust papercraft, it turned out REALLY GOOD.

I'm not really good at painting, so I need some tips and ideas of how and what to paint it. Batman bust.

My first thought was to paint it all black, except the bat logo which it would be gold. Then I had another idea of painting it to look like marble, ( I guess all white and then a marble effect spray paint).

Some tips of how to paint will be very useful for me and it will help me make even better papercrafts. Thank you!

About the papercraft: I took a 3d model of a batman bust (Thanks to Sam T from MyMiniFactory for having the awesome 3d bust for free.), I reduced the polygons to 3,700 with MeshLab, then built it, and I sprayed expanding foam to make it sturdy, strong, and to give it some weight. Thankfully the expanding foam didn't expand past the paper and it didn't ruin anything.

Nice model!

I will not be of help with painting it - I am color challenged, and print all of the models that I build on a color laser printer.

Why don't you just leave it as it is?
That way people will realize it is all paper and will be doubly awestruck.
Nice work!

Thank you very much!

Actually I haven't thought about that perspective, very interesting!

Although I'm planning to give it as a gift to a friend I don't know if I really want the lines and the numbers be shown.

Thank you for that new prespective you gave me!

Chances are you will want to coat it with 2 or 3 coats of Krylon Crystal Clear. To make it less likely to collapse or disintegrate when you put paint on it. Spray it with Crystal Clear in between coats of paint. Paint choice is really up to you. I would suggest an airbrush for most of it. You'll have to decide if it will have a dull or glossy surface. Don't forget the primer coat. Popular primer colors are Gray, White and Black. There are plenty of painting videos on YouTube. Watch a few.
