Mistake? No, I meant to:

Scratch my forehead with the knife (blunt end only so far, but you forget it's in your hand...)
Assemble that cone for the nozzle/end cap/transition/etc. inside out
Put glue there ...
And maybe a few more items already mentioned (5th Amendment time).

Wink oh mum, do i have to do THAT?

wow, as a beginner i have a lot to look forward to :D
all jokes aside, i think i might collect all your mishaps sort them and use it as a NO NO to avoid doing the same mistakes as you have
but i heard that is in the human character - to learn from others mistakes by repeating them yourself

Print an ink cartridge worth of models out all in the same day, put them in folders, and the next day find something you really really want...but you are now out of ink! I still have a couple of un-built models printed even now, and have only black ink in my printer. If you are on a color ink budget...print as you build.

Print everything on 110 pound card. It took me a while to lean that some parts/models work better in light paper.

I built my first two models using a box cutter and the small blade of a Swiss Army knife. Then I wised up and got a real craft knife.

Failed to realize when I would bust off the craft knife points, and wonder why I couldn't get it to cut small details any longer.

Work too fast.

I bought a printer scanner by cannon at a very reasonable price, Less than the price of a HP printer color cartridge. The added bonus is that the inks for cannon are more cheaper than the other printers out there, at least for now, way down in price about more than less than the HP brand.

Models impossible to construct.

Yes, friends, yes.
I was in the modelers group that downloaded a lot of models in forums.
Because they were free.
Aircraft carriers of more than one meter in long.
Apollos rockets, submarines....
The time calm you, and now i select models by the viability for
construying them.
Our working table is not like a unlimited space.

Doctormax, that is truly weird, 'cause I'm using an HP desk-top with Vista Home Premium 64 (came with the machine) right now. I use Adobe Reader all the time (including printing FG models) with no problem. You have a problem other than Vista. Double check ALL your settings. If you can't find the problem, take it to an expert, cause you have a "hickey" in your system. Maybe you're trying to use the "32" version of Vista on a "64" machine, or the other way around. Hopefully, it's something simple.

This one is my favorite...lol...I guess it wasn't funny when it happened though, and I've done it as well as a host of others here. In fact, I'm still making these mistakes. I'd mention ONE I haven't done, but I'm afraid that will curse me to do it for sure! :D
