Looks like a "RollyStyk" as marketed by Mark (shrike):

New forming tool

Appreciated Bomarc. I recall seeing this now a wee while back. Will check in with Shrike and get an order underway.

Cheers

I just contacted Shrike who said he will be getting another batch under way soon. When he does he will update his thread.

Thanks again Lancer.

Jim, the way I see it, we're all here for three reasons. (in no particular order)

1) To see some great model builds.
2) To learn something to make our own modeling more fun, easier, or better quality.
3) To have some good, old-fashioned fun.

If I don't do one or more of those three things every single time I visit, I might as well not come here. Happy to be of service, my Scottish friend...

By the way, did I tell you I married a girl with Scottish ancestry? I'm entitled to wear her family Tartan. Problem is, I'm allergic to wool, and can't find the pattern in a non-wool fabric!

Shrike's tool looks like my chopstick! It is tapered on one end, blunt on the other. What diameter is Shrike's tool?
Oh, sorry, he said in his thread - 1/4 inch. It *is* a chopstick - only metal.

Great values to live by lancer. And it's funny you mention being allergic to wool. I'm ok with the kilt but by golly the hose/socks in the Army are pure wool and it's like wearing wire wool around your legs. Not nice. lol Oh how I miss my Army days. lol. Now as a civilian I get a chance to wear polyester/nylon fake hose.

Anyhoo thanks again mate and it has been my privilege to chat with you.

Take care mate and catch you around.

Cheers
Jim

Not wanting to take an order away from shrike, but if you can stand the embarrassment of being the only guy in the place, check out the metal and hard wood knitting needles in a sewing shop. They come in lots of sizes, some have pointed ends, others are rounded.

OK Then John it will be our little secret...:D

But thanks for another option. I will be placing an order with Shrike either way but Michaels has a knitting section I could run through - quickly. :o

Cheers and thanks again for yet another tool we all just can't be without.

Jim
