This is HMAS Perth in 1/600 scale. The camouflage scheme is the same on both sides. While not accurate for the scheme she wore on her last sortie, it might well represent her appearance before the experimental all blue-gray paint was applied on her port side.

Perth was sunk in Sunda Straight by Japanese naval units in a night action in which Perth and USS Houston stumbled into a Japanese invasion fleet at night. Houston was also sunk. The survivors of both ships were taken prisoner and spent the rest of the war constructing Japanese military railroads in southeast Asia. The movie "Bridge on the River Kwai" portrays some of the hardships the survivors endured while in captivity.
