This is the three-page kit for a 1/72 scale vintage sabre-shaped prop, suitable for WWI and other vintage aircraft. This particular prop is appropriate for a Sopwith Camel or similar.

The basic idea is to use two tones of wood-coloured paper. For a 1/72 scale prop this requires 9 layers to build up into scale thickness. Original vintage props of this kind were also laminated from 9 layers, judging from photos and drawings. The scale prop therefore is built up of alternating layers of two shades of wood-coloured paper.

Each of the 9 layer parts consists of a prop part and a rectangular jig. The jig is just what's left when the prop is cut out from the rectangular jig part of a layer. Jigs and prop parts are glued in order to form a stack, and at the end of the build the jig parts are peeled away.

Parts are printed at the top of two separate sheets, so you can cut off the rest of the sheets and use them for other things. Use ordinary modeling 160 g paper, or ideally slightly thinner.
