Here is a model I designed for my wife for a fundraiser where she works (United Way). I printed the sections of the balloon onto colored cardstock to save ink. The balloon pattern pieces are uncolored to allow you to use any color(s) you like to build it.


To attach the basket to the balloon, first glue long wooden skewers to the inside corners of the basket, pointed ends up. After that is dry, test fit the balloon onto the tops of the skewers and trim the tops to match the balloon contour where they meet. Apply glue to the tops of the skewers and place the balloon on top. Reinforce this joint when it is dry with successive layers of glue.
