In his "making report" he's built a version 7 of the bipedal bot that has jointed legs, so it "walks" with a more normal gait. Fascinating to watch. I'm going to assume he's an engineering student or possibly an instructor who has a very good grasp of the mechanical arts. He did say in one of the blurbs that these machines take a lot of adjusting and that eventually the rubber band power source will stop working, I assume the band will break. Makes me wonder if you put a small pager motor in one with it pulling a cart made of paper that contains the batteries and power switch if it would provide the same type of thrill of watching it move for a longer time? I wonder if the gear train would last the length of a basketball court?
