That is nice. Will have to watch the video a few times and give it a try.
Meanwhile there is a toy called a kaleidocycle that is fun to play with. Not exactly like that 8 part flexagon but still intriguing. Here is a site where you can upload some photos to make one: FoldPlay Home! I have made a few of them to give to people with photos they liked, usually of friends and family or places they have visited. Here is another site with some kaleidocylcles and some removable "bolts" you can use to make a cube. Kaleidocycles: Nets The bolts are things you make to insert into the kaleidocylce to lock it into the shape of a cube. Purty neet.
