Terrifying footage of Stan and Ollie in pre OSHA shop

Terrifying footage of Stan and Ollie in a pre OSHA woodworking shop. The boys are involved in one industrial accident after another:

By the mid '30s used Model T's must have been dirt cheap as they always end up destroying one or two in their short films.

My father was a teenager during the 30's.
He said that you could buy a Model T for $5.
Of course at that time, you could buy more groceries than you could carry for $5.

There used to be an old cartoon called "The Bull of The Woods" about a machine shop.

I remember the "Bull of the Woods" panels. The one you show reminds me of the old farm equipment I like now. Back then when actually using some of them donated several shirts to the cause. Always got my folks upset at me; but my thought was I can always buy another shirt so if the machine gods wanted it they were welcomed to it.

The first views of the lumber yard showing the unprotected blades with the workers hands right up close was cringe making.
