If anyone is visiting London, Portsmouth is quite an easy day trip by train and the Historic Dockyard is right next to the station. As well as Victory (currently under conservation so she doesn't have her top masts or yards) they also have the remarkably preserved wreck of Henry VIII's flagship Mary Rose and all the artifacts found on board. Unfortunately there is a very longstanding local football rivalry which forbids me saying anything good about Portsmouth...

But there is one problem, when playing the Youtube video directly the explanation is in English, but after downloading the video, it is in Portugese, my question is does anybody has this video in the English language downloaded ????

Hmmmm....nobody seems to be interested in my thread, and nobody seems to bother about what I wrote about the Portugese text in the downloaded Titanic video. It is strange that the text is not changeable, although on the internet you can choose between Spanish, Portugese and English, but the video just does not respond when I set it to English, when downloaded it is in Portugese !!

The Titanic video was excellent. Amazing graphics it must have taken ages to produce. We can all learn something new. For me it was the fact that most of the ship's boilers were double ended. Also that the central propeller was driven by a low pressure turbine.

That's exactly what they want me to do for the U.S.S. ORLECK, they want a virtual tour for the handicapped who can't board the ship in person, that's why the CGI model is now being moved from Autocad into Maya.

Do we need to register or buy tickets to visit Victory in advance?
