Relais Shell
Hello, The great Tom Greensfelder share with all us a great vintage french models the "Relais N° 5 shell " it was a real station in the 30's on the famous (for the french) Nationale 7 (also call in the past "the hollidays road") the station was at the "kilomètre 200" that mean at 200 km of Paris in the direction to the sud , destroy after war in 47.

Thank you for this. The flicker pages are yours, yes? In which case I must also say thank you for the Vintage Indian Scene. I built this this week, but for some reason did not post it here, but in "Other Builds"! Vintage Indian Scene Must be getting old.

Thanks, Patricia, for posting the model to your site and the Forum! It's a pleasure to make a contribution to your site that has provided so many wonderful paper models for all of us.
Here are a few pictures of what the model looks like when built up. I've enhanced the model in a couple of ways by reversing the pumps, tree, etc and pasting them back to back and painting over some of the fold lines, etc. It's really a very charming and unusual paper model (and building). If anyone would like a copy of the reversed pieces, send me a pm. It was also an interesting subject for me as my parents both worked for Shell Oil... but not in France, unfortunately! |
