Elsie's Good Food Train
I found this on Toto's blog ... Jan 26, 2012. The model dates from the 40/50s. I wonder if the original train still exists?
Il favoloso mondo di carta di Totò: January 2012 (Wind down quite a way) I printed it onto A4 gloss photo-paper, but I think it should be A3 or bigger, and definitely harder card. The tabs are easily pulled right off in this paper. The original was designed as just pull through tab construction, but here I have glued where ever possible, and done away with many of the tabs. Keep on snippin' Johnny. |

John: I originally sent the files to Toto a long time ago... glad to see the train built (I've been meaning to do it myself, but you know how that goes). You did a great job!
Can you post some close-up pix? |

Just for you Tom ... apologies for the superb photography. It's only a little Kodak Snap shooter I borrow from the Wife, but it takes better pics than my phone camera ... If you click on the bar you can zoom in to see all the card edges I didn't color .
The Loco ... Trucks and their loads ... and Elsie in her caboose ... I don't think the caboose is meant to be so warped, but there's a lot of detail in there so it gets man-handled a lot during construction. Personally I think the wonky look adds to it's character. Keep on snippin' Johnny. |

I agree... wonkiness is definitely part of it's charm. Thanks for posting them! Tom

Yep, the wonkiness adds to the overall charm. A lot of my models get to be wonky.

Apparently, the original blog with the model has been taken down and no longer exists (at least that's what the error message says).
Does anyone know of a secondary souce for the train files? Thanks! TED |

Welcome to the Forum, Ted. You should introduce yourself.
As far as Toto's site, try Wayback Machine, you may be able to get the files. It is very iffy as to whether files are available or not. I had not seen this model elsewhere. Since Tom was the one who sent the file to Toto, you might PM him
