Imagerie d'Epinal Antoinette

Hi all, this afternoon I made this plane from the downloads section. It seems to have been inspired by the Antoinette monoplane. It is far from accurate for any period plane I could find but it makes an attractive little model. Even my wife said so. I imagine that in 1908 or thereabouts when this was originally released references were hard to come by.
It went together well except for the top of the fuselage which was too long. I cut a few mm out to get it to the correct size.
I tried to use all the parts but there were a couple of wheels that I couldn't find a place for. I guessed at how the engine was meant to go.
The wires, or rather straps on the wings, are functional. The really hold the wing in place.
Overall a fun model.

That is a cute little plane. I have had a few issues on part-fit on the a couple of the Epinal models I've done.

Forgot to say: I have been concentrating on zeppelins so far, planes were next on my list - but I will gladly put your builds on my Flickr collection. Can you mention if/where high resolution scans can be found?
Any other High res. scans of 'technical' items, and lighthouses available anywhere?

Diderick, I enjoyed looking through the pictures you have collected on Flickr. I am thrilled to have my model amongst them. I actually made this because I had been reading your zeppelin thread and got inspired to have a go at a vintage model. This plane in the downloads section caught my eye. I will definitely make more in the future.
