Hi All,

And hi, RRLittle. Tom and I are happy to help. The Papermodelers site is a civilized corner in an often nasty media arena. The ladies and gentlemen who post here enjoy doing what we can to promote our singular pastime.

Butelcznski, I believe the tails were removed from the FTs so that they would be more nimble in the ancient streets of Spanish cities. As they weren't available in numbers, I'm guessing they were used more in the role of up-armored, armored cars rather than tanks in the field. To that end, I think the gun in the Tanque's turret represents a machine gun, not a cannon.

And missileer, I have a few projects on my shelf that have been waiting 35 years or more for someone to come along and finish them. They don't haunt me, but they have been pushed to the back of the shelf where I rarely see them.

Score and fold,

Thumb Dog

Let's hope the museum takes the tank in hand and does justice to this historic type.

It us great to see you posting again Thumb Dog. Thanks to you and Tom for the Spanish version of the FT.

I agree with your comments about the civility (and the range of knowledge) reflected in our Forum.
