Looking for Kardcraft Road Vehicles
Hallo Everyone,
Actually I am fascinated by Micro-Card-models. Small projects that allows you plenty of improvement if you like to do this. So I have seen these models offered by Kardcraft in the past. The London K-Type bus from 1919, the "Mighty Atom Foden Steam Tractor from 1932 and the "Wallis & Steevens Simplicity Steam Roller from 1927. I have seen that they are offered in the past via EBAY occasionally, but unfortunatelly not in the last time. As I am not a collector, I just would like to built these models, my question to this community is if someone has them and can offer me a scan of the paper cards? Of course I do not want this for free and I am very much willing to transfer some money for the effort. If someone could help me here, I would very much appreciate this. Best Regards Derek |

They do pop up every now and then, mainly on the UK ebay.
Unfortunately asking for someone to scan and sell you the copy is asking for piracy, and thats a no-no. Those vehicles look like fun though, although 1/76 is pretty small. I found and purchased the Kardcraft HMS Victory (ship) model on ebay. I scanned it and tried to build it...it didnt go well! lol I'm glad I didnt cut the original up!

Hallo Dave,
first of all, thank you very much for your reply. Correct me please if I am wrong, but as far as I know the company does not exist anymore and there is no successor, that I know about. There is also no offical shop who is offering these models. So for my personal understanding it is not illegal, or immoral, if I am asking for a scan. Especially as I do not want to deal with it, or give it to another person. I just want to built such a model. I am not a lawyer and in case I am totally wrong, then please you Dave, or someone else let me know. Best Regards Derek |

To be honest I rarely consider whether a company is still going, or an artist still alive.
I often just look at how recent the art was rendered (not more than 100 years puts in the realm of intellectual property most likely still owned) and whether it suits me morally to infringe on someone's intellectual property without proper permissions. It really doesn't matter what the reason if its not legally available. I honestly have no idea who may or may not own the copyrights...so its more comfortable for me to err on the side of the unknown copyright holder. And I am not accusing you of any sort of piracy. (intended or otherwise) This community has a policy of not tolerating "piracy" no matter what the circumstances, so it has to be a consistent policy to work. if these Kardcraft models were not for sale anywhere, I might lean toward your thinking (only lean mind you) but quick searches seem to bring up a lot of results. I'd say more research is necessary to make a better judgement. In the meantime, I (personally) wouldn't just assume its an uncontested matter.
