You're right about the lines; they do look better that way.

I do that with the lines too. Coming together nicely.

Almost finished. Just have the intricate lamp posts to cut out, glue together, and place.

I had one lamp post cut out and assembled earlier to see how it would look. Noticed there would be a lot of trimming and coloring to get it to look good. Put it someplace where it would not get lost and now I forget where I put it. So it is lost anyway.

Another area where some small sections needed to be printed and applied is the inside of the walkway turrets between the bridge and the tower. If left blank it is not very good looking.

The walls of the tunnel between the bridge and tower could be modified too by printing some more texture and appying it. However you don't really see those areas unless you maneuver around to see so I did not add any texture there.

Some photos of the almost finished model.

Hi All,

And hi, SCEtoAUX. To quote Ray and Peter of the Ghostbusters, “Hey, where do these stairs go?” “They go up!”

Nice work on an interesting construction. It’s always fun to see a well-built model designed by Hans Christian Madsen. If it’s a model of an actual building, I’d think it would be sited on a quiet lake or a protected fiord. If it fronts on the ocean, the North Atlantic winters would make this a very uncomfortable residence to be sure.

As far as finding your lamp post, I usually lose long parts like that when I slip them between books or under a weight on a shelf while waiting for the part to dry.

Looking forward to the completed model.

Score and fold,

Thumb Dog

It is finished. Never did find that first lamp post. It is probably hiding and trying not to laugh too loud.

There is always a certain charm to these vintage models, and this one is quite unusual

Thanks for sharing
