Hi All,

And hi, Tapcho. That's a massive menagerie of Micromodels. Very impressive. I count at least 40 units, but I don't think I can see them all. Nice, consistent roadbeds for the models as well.

I like your collection of similar cigar boxes, too. As for the oddball tin, I have a feeling it once contained shortbread cookies. Am I right?

Thumb Dog, sorry about a confusion I'm guilty of, I should have explained my idea better. The picture presents a collection of Micromodels at Brighton Toy Museum in UK. And it underlines the Micromodels slogan - 'Your workshop all in a cigar box'.
Since I have few MM railroad kits (locos, coaches, lineside features) I just thought to store and present the collection in the spirit of the picture. My late father smoked cigars so I have cigar boxes already. And maybe my wife will provide me a cookie tin too.

All of the MM displayed are great, building them is not easy, but these are all very nice, the box that came from UK was a great treasure to get, after all the years they are still lovely to look at.

My other half learnt from her brother earlier today that some time ago he and his wife spent a week at the Bull Hotel in Long Melford. Much excitement later as she scoured the deepest depths of the scariest cupboard and came up with this. Pictures were taken to send off to the brother-in-law. Don't know what he's going to make of them. Anyway, in the spirit of this thread, I'm taking the liberty to show these three.

I made it about fifty years ago. Does it qualify as old enough?

Hi All,

And hi, Philip. Very fine model of the old Bull Hotel. And as far as the hotel goes, anything built in 1450 is indeed old to our American eyes. Attached are a pair of current photographs of the Bull. They appear to have placed tables and chairs in the courtyard. No more room for horse drawn coaches, apparently.

As for your Micromodel, the past 50 years have allowed it to mellow with hints of oak and vanilla. And to my way of thinking, any hand-drawn paper model is old enough.
