Long live the Queen, in Micromodels
When Elizabeth Windsor was crowned in 1952, she had been in the middle of an extended goodwill trip through Africa and Asia. Several moments of that trip were commemorated with new Micromodel releases. Because the trip was cut short when her father the King died, some were never issued
Among these models CII The Royal South African Train, ready to take here through South AfricaSII HMS Vanguard, a new battle cruiser that she traveled to New Zealand on. SXV Maori War Canoe ARCXX Special Coronation re-issue of Westminster Abbey (special cover) ARC XVIII Royal Lodge, Ngeri, Kenya (not issued) ARC XXVI Maori village (not issued) ARC XXV Maori assembly hall (not issued)

The Queen is dead. Long live the King.
Maybe I misread you, Rob, but HMS Vanguard was definitely issued. I have one. Perhaps it was issued and then withdrawn when news of the king's death became known, but there are copies out there.

Yes indeed. The first three were issued, (Royal Train, Vanguard, and War Canoe) and the last three not.

Ah, please excuse an old buffer. I lost my thinking cap some time ago.
And I'd not seen the Royal Train built before. Nice one, michik.
