Hi from Colombia

Hi,
Although I'm now living in Colombia, South America, you can probably tell from my last name that my family is Scandinavian (Faroe Islands), so I come from a long line of seafarers and my main interest has always been maritime modelling.
In fact, I think the first card models I ever built many years ago were the 6 Little Ships from Micromodels. I have an unbuilt Wilhelmshaven Gorch Foch still lying on my top shelf alongside an appalling 'Le Protecteur' which I occasionally take down and then immediately put back again.
I also have three unbuilt Harris Edge Showcase large-scale steam engine models 'Flying Scotsman', Royal Scot'' and the Showman's Steam Fairground Engine. Unfortunately, having moved house 11 times in the last 11 years, I've mislaid the instructions for the 'Royal Scot', so if anyone out there knows where I can find a copy, I'd be very grateful.

I live in Cali. I think there's only one modelling shop in Cali, but I don't think they deal i Card Models, so I'll have to rely on my stash! What's the situation in Bogota. Can you buy stuff there or do you import from the States?

Welcome aboard! If you can't find local (or ship in) hard copy models there are still quite a few you can download and print. Browse the links (top right tab) and see what's out there.

Ike: there are two or three modelling shops in Bogota. They are mostly oriented towards the Radio-control and plastic models. The very few card models they got are of very questionable origins.

The only reliable source is to import the models or to buy official electronic kits.
