Hello; I’m an amateur photographer. I travel around the state and photograph unique buildings some of which I design and build N scale paper models. I do most of my designing in Photo Shop using photos for textures. For complex shapes I use solid modeling software and export the flattened surfaces then add texture.
I hope you’ll enjoy some of my post.

Welcome to the site.
Lots of good folks here to give advice about model design.

Seems like there are a lot of unique buildings in and around Indiana. A while back there was discussion about some of the old County Courthouses in the various states and how the Victorian era architecture would be interesting to model. Looking forward to what you come up with.

Thumbs up

SCEtoAUX; those old court houses and churches would be interesting to design and build in a larger scale. N scale would be way beyond my skill level. It would probably require a lazier to cut all the intricate parts.

Zakopious; I live on the south side of Indy. Have never been in Fremont, I’m sure one of my trips will lead me in that direction some day.

whulsey; my designs consist mostly of simple folded box assemblies. No rocket science here.

Art Deco; we have discussed design issues and techniques in another forum. Good to see you.

To all thank you for the warm welcome.
