Nice to see that there are REAL persons on this forum !

Three years ago, I discovered paper modeling and I progressively decided to become an illustrator who use exclusively paper for illustrations. Before, I was a writer (I writed for popular science). Big change in my life...
Now I have published five books, and two others will be published soon. Some of my new projects are studied by publishers and I expect for their agreement or desagreement (a quiet place, the raven and the 3 hens, monster alphabet)... And I just start paper models for completely new projects.

Here I am at the Montreuil Bookfair (near Paris)...

Dear Aaron:
First thought is you painted your new truck black, put full sized paper Bat Wings All over it!!!! Plus your cape is caught in the drivers door and flapping in the breaze.
Too early in the morning for this picture,
MILES
How about a HAKO of the Bat truck?

I know what you mean Phil.
You had me believing you were superman until that forklift comment, but then, you usually have me laughing! And I agree about having more models than time to build them, I would probably have to live 300 years to finish all my projects!

Hello Cliff, good to see you. I would argue about that "good looking" comment, but no women have posted yet...

Hi Jim, still look like a tank huh?

Bonjour Pat! Good to see you! I have always enjoyed your models and toys especially the robots. Thanks for joining in!

Smile Many interests

My screen name gives a clue to my interests, I was born John L Fleming 76 + years ago and have been building model airplanes since I was 12. Of course when I went into the service it was the Air Force. Spent four years teaching pilots radio navigation using Link Trainers.
Later in life when I could afford it I became a sailplane pilot for many years. Now comes my involvement in paper modeling. I built and flew free flight stick models covered with Japanese tissue and powered by a small electric motor. One, I flew at night after adding red/green LED's to the wing tips. Attached photo shows a launch into the dark sky. When it was too windy for the FF planes I flew single line kites made of bamboo and tissue. Attached shows yours truly and a Guatamalan kite with over 2400 individual pieces of colored tissue.
Many of my card stock models have been posted here and I am still at it. I will soon finish another project and will take pictures and share here. But, I also spend my time with Flight Sim, Train Sim, scroll saw projects and chair caning. Some days I have to get up early and go to bed late to do all that I want. Sorry to ramble on....................... John

Phil............you started a monster.
