Greetings ShadowHawk, from a fellow Nederlander!!!
I am busy building the Frost Dragon from Skyrim that you mentioned earlier!! Here is a pic of the head so far!! As you see it, it consists of 50 paper parts!! Good luck with this hobby. Take your time and practice, practice!!. Last edited by fokawe; 01-25-2013 at 03:28 AM. |

How long have you been building papercraft ? I don't even consider starting a project like that yet, I'm having enough trouble with the Venator as we speak (can't seem to get the superstructure right). I love this modeling though, I just need to get the hang of it, my first plastic models weren't that great either in the begining. @zeawolves77 Thanks for the compliment The build started out perfect (well for me anyways), the side trenches are nicely in place and so are the hangars. I'm working on the superstructure now but it just doesn't go right somehow. I had to print the sheet three times now and still it's not the way I want it. I'm thinking of setting this model on hold and start something new as a change of mind so I can pick it up where I left it later again with a fresh start. See you al later again Cheers, Elko |

I never knew there were so many sites with free papermodels. As I said before I used to make plastic models and never realy looked at papercrafting. When papermodels caught my eye I searched the internet and was amazed by the quantity and quality of the models available. I have been downloading like crazy and made a nice collection of sci-fi models You have been making papermodels for a longer time yes ? Your speederbike looks awesome and very crisp, I used to have that model in plastic but yours looks just as good or even better then my plastic model. The great part is, there are so many papermodels that you can't even get or were never published as plastic model and if you mess up on a part you just print out that part again and try again. If you realy mess up with a plastic model you'll have to buy a complete new model I still have to learn a lot to even get close to what I see on these forums but it's a lot of fun, and to see all your great creations works very inspiring. Cheers ans all the best, Elko |

Uhm, I don't know if I'm a perfectionist but I do wat my models to look good, I'll have to look at them all the time and if I see to many mistakes (other might not even see them) then it's the mistakes I'm looking at and not the subject of the model i.e. a nice Star Destroyer. I've put my Republic Star Destroyer on hold, I tried the superstructure four time now and the result is just not satisfying. I used to do the same in the past with plastic modeling, if things didn't go the way I wanted I paused that model and started a new one to get my mind off. After I completed the new model I picked up de old one again with a fresh start at where I left it. I juts made a print of one of the Star Trek Ships made by Paragon. It's not such a hard one I think and I allready have some tweaks in mind (not to hard either). It's a small project (just three A4 sheets) maybe I'll post some pictures in a seperate thread. Cheers and all the best, Elko |
