Welcome Spartacus, from a fellow Scot. It's good to see the joy of paper spreading here too.

Thanks for the thanks. And - goodness - I'm looking at building pre-existing models for the first few months.
That might change in time, I'm a fair coder, can use some 3D modelling programs well enough to build SW ships in them (Softimage XSI), and know my way around PaintShopPro9, so providing I can use those or similar tools I'll have a fair chance. But in the meantime I've been on a massive download spree. From the simple miniature fighters by Momir Farooq right through to the PhD-level mindbenders by UHU02. In the main I've downloaded as much Star Wars as I can find, anything Mass Effect, as well as any 1-to-1 scale Sci-Fi replica guns. I'm thinking starting on a mid-level Star Wars fighter or two, then looking at some of the Mass Effect characters. Perhaps the Loenf variant of Ninjatoes Tie Fighters. Too advanced for a first model? |
