Out of stealth mode
Hi everyone,
I found this wonderful world of card modeling a couple of years ago. I joined this forum more than a year ago, but somehow I kept being stealthy until today. I learned a lot of stuff from your posts, including various techniques, materials, tools, and most of all the pictures of your great models. Thank you! I build mostly airplanes. I have built some cars and a ship, too. The reason I got out of stealth mode is that I joined the Marek model build marathon by Chris. I'm building a 1:50 Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien (Tony), one of my favorite airplane. Eventually I will have to post a picture of the model and I can't hide any more! :D Cheers, ruf0us |

Good to see another Oregonian in the forums 8v)
Good luck with the Hien. Marek models are well designed. You should have fun with it.

Thanks, guys.
I'm still working on the very first part (the spinner) and already having fun. The tip part was slightly too big in diameter and now I'm on the second try. This is why I love digital models. You can try as many times as you want |

Hey, that makes three of us! Time for a convention. I vote for Ash's place so we can go through the mountains. Glad to see you creep out of the closet Ruf (name? we're all friends here). Looking forward to seeing pictures and all that.

Nothing could lure me out except a free model:D
My name is Shinji. I came to the U.S. from Japan. Living in Oregon for 7 years I would consider myself an Oregonian. I got a house here and my daughter is a U.S. citizen, so probably I will live here for the rest of my life. But I still speak Japanese and if you need translation or something, I might be able to help. Last edited by ruf0us; 04-18-2009 at 03:38 PM. |
