Greetings
Found you!
Now it's your turn to hide while I count 1,2,3.. Sorry I have just come from a silly place and still have vestiges of it. Finally using proper card instead of 80gm and joining a new and very nice looking forum inside a week - whatever has come over me. Anyway dodgy 3D file conversions at your service. |

Welcome,
Whoa - that is light stock. I use bond paper (20lb/?50gm) for small rockets to launch off of the "straw rocket launcher" and did the U-Don Long March/Shen Zhou in 1:150 with bond paper (still not sure why...). I'm mostly using 60lb/160gm for 1:200 rockets and 1:48 space probes. 110lb/300gm is sturdy, but it's hard to get sharp creases and rolling yields the occaisional wrinkle. I'm still working on it (technique). Yogi |

Conversions - wrote UMC2 for MSFS .mdls, .lod, .3ds, to .mqo, .x etc and looking at .ac and proper .obj at the minute - always up for new requirements.
Yogi - sometimes 80gm and a good crease is all you need but I don't build real space hardware like you - I loved the straw rocket launcher notes - I am inspired to build one myself and play ICBMs in the office. |

Sorry Barry I didn't and I usually spell "modellers" so no chance. Fortunately someone left me a clue.
I hope you are well. I see on the first trawl that I have a lot of catching up to do and the slight posting lag will take some getting used to. Do you get to be trusted after a while? |

Always happy to help. If possible, build an extra and pass it on to any promising kids (yours? or those you know). Planes, trains and automobiles, you can launch anything you can stick a straw in (onto).
