Room for a Zealot refugee?

Well, I've been a member of this forum for a few months now but haven't been very active. I found the forum through Zealot where I had recently become a very active member and have made a few acquaintances along the way. The new administration and I however weren't able to see eye-to-eye on a particular subject and when I posted a discussion about it in their complaints section, they deleted it and banned me, without warning or notice.

The only reason I had chosen one over the other was that I found Zealot first. I'm glad to see a lot of familiar names on this site and hope to pick up where I left off in discussing card modeling, viewing and posting builds, and sharing information we find on our crawls about the internet.

I'll be copying some of my threads (especially my collection of builds thread) from Z over to here, so expect some upcoming posts.

Thanks for having me!

Welcome.

Shame you got banned over there, might happen to a few others as well. Shame it's going downhill, it was a good place.

Yea it's really too bad that things got so ugly over a simple thing like posting links to other websites. I liked it over there. It seemed to be a good place for n00bies to the hobby. Not that this site isn't friendly and welcoming, but it seemed that the experts hang out here, so I felt a little intimidated by some of the works here. But I'm over that now lol.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome. Now to copy over my builds thread. I guess I can link back to Z for my previous build threads. No use in pulling them down from there - shouldn't punish the members who would benefit from my builds because of the administration (not that I have access to anyway ).

Such is the "way of the cloud." Ok, enough Zen. I'll go anywhere I can learn (still not much for me to share but I'm working on it) from congenial company. Though the flame wars over glue-stick versus Elmer's can get pretty ugly.

cmags, just remember that the definition of expert is a drip that once was under pressure. This forum was created as a refuge from Zealot. Of the English speaking forums, papermodelers is closest to the spirit of the original band of refugees from the papermodels forum (so much water has flowed under the bridge that I forget the exact name of the original group). Unfortunately, it seems to be part of human nature that any splinter group will eventually recreate the society their ancestors tried to escape from. That happened at Zealot with astounding speed....thankfully, this groups organization has sucessfully staved off that particular dry rot. Welcome to the fold (whether valley or mountain, time will tell).

Actually Armorman is a full fledged member, and has been for some time now.
