New member with upload to share
Hi all. I'm another "closet" paper modeler, in that I've never interacted online in this type of forum. I have a model ("kit"?) that I designed that I'd like to make available as a download for other modelers use or comment. It is 100% original, a 1/72 Panther G that I spent dozens of hours designing. It is an incomplete kit in the sense that it doesn't have a formal directions document. But I have a list of suggestions for how to build it, and I have many good photos of the completed model. Since I'm not allowed to upload until I have ten(?) posts, I'm not quite sure how to proceed here. I guess I'll just share some of the pics to start with...

New member with original model and "kit" to share
Hi all. I'm another closet paper modeler-in that I've never interacted online in this type of forum. I have a model ("kit"?) that I designed that I'd like to make available as a download for other modelers use or comment on. It is 100% original, a 1/72 Panther G that I spent dozens of hours designing. It is an incomplete kit in the sense that it doesn't have a formal directions document, but I have a suggestions document to help with solving the puzzle of building it, and I have many good photos of the completed model. Since I'm not allowed to upload until I have ten(?) posts, I'm not quite sure how to proceed here. I guess I'll just share some of the pics to start with... I apologize to the moderators that I already attempted once to start this thread, but forgot to attach pictures. I swear I'm not trying to spam, ha.

That is a beautiful model.
It looks too good to be 1/72 scale. |

Thanks! At least ninety percent of the time working on it was in photoshop rather than actually building the model. I'm looking forward to being able to submit it for download by others. The entire model is laid out on a single letter-size sheet. I'd upload it right in this thread, but I'm not sure if I'd be breaking a rule since there is an upload/download section to the site.

Read up on the directions here >> How To: Upload a file to Downloads Section
Or if that is too much work, just attach it to the post, no problem

I'm in the process of trying to upload my model and I'm getting the message, "Error: Image exceeds maximum width." I can't seem to figure out how to format the jpg files so that they'll upload. Do I need to be specifying a particular number of pixels per inch for each file, or maybe a total pixel width? Thanks

In the attachment portion it does the file sizes you can attach.

Yes, I did see that 5 mp is allowed for a jpg, but the hang-up seems to be how the "width" of the file is being interpreted. Hmm.
